Doctoral programme presentation

The Electrical Engineering doctorate programme consist in a series of courses and focused research work supervised by a tutor, which have the finality to guide the students to develop an specific research in the area of the Electrical Engineering.

Programme objective

The Electrical Engineering is a technology of more than a century of age.
Although this, nowadays it is experiencing a lot of changes, basically with the introduction of Electronic and Computer Science in all of the traditional areas of the Electrical Engineering technology.

The Electrical Engineering doctorate programme comes to help to create a kind of Electrical Engineer who can front this challenges with all the tools and acknowledge required to succeed in such a job.

The programme offers postgraduate training addressed to graduates in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering, with the objective of training these technicians in the tasks of research, development, modelling and simulation of electromechanical devices, systems and processes.
Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the programme, a wide variety of contents are offered which afford a complete vision of all of the technologies applied, which comprise both the analysis and design of complex electromechanical systems (such as control drives, devices and systems) and the modelling and simulation of these systems, on the basis of electrical and electronic systems.
